About the Roaster
Coffee has shaped my life from an early age, from riding along on coffee deliveries with my mom in Minnesota to learning the café business firsthand and later working as a chef and barista. In 2018, I moved to Hawaiʻi with my husband to take over his family’s coffee farm, where they taught us every step of the process—from growing and harvesting to processing and roasting—and opened a coffee shop in Honokaʻa serving our own coffee, chocolate, vanilla, white pineapple, Roselle hibiscus, calamansi lime, clove and much more. This farm-to-cup experience has given me a deep understanding of coffee roasting and flavor development, while my background in food, beverages, and agriculture helps me bring out the unique character of every roast. I’m passionate about supporting local businesses, sustainable practices, and community, and I love sharing a true taste of Hawaiʻi with the unique spirit of the Hāmākua Coast.
